After Alison Purkiss qualified as a phlebotomist, over 15 years ago, she began to notice a lack of quality phlebotomy training available in the UK. Therefore, she took matters into her own hands and established Phlebotomy Training Services over 10 years ago.
Based on the foundation of quality training, PTS has since trained thousands of phlebotomists who are now working in the UK. To ensure that our students get the most out of our training we make sure that there are no more than 6 students per trainer, and no more than 12 people per course. This way we can guarantee that the students can get the attention they deserve.
Wherever blood is required to facilitate research a team of trained phlebotomist makes things easier.
It is no longer necessary to call in staff from Occupational Health or an outside agency to draw bloods – having a team of phlebotomists available in house trained to your own specific policies and procedures and familiar with your particular requirements will enable blood samples to be taken efficiently with minimum impact on staff or trial participants.
In the past we have worked with the following clients:
A recent student at one of our course had this to say:
To Emily, Thank you so much for the great training at the weekend in Oxford. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Your ability to explain things in a logical and informed manner was great. You helped me have the confidence to go out and practice my new skills.
I highly recommend the course and certainly recommend you as a trainer.
