The advanced phlebotomy training course is designed to further the skills learned in the Basic Phlebotomy Course.
It will enable participants to build on their existing skills and develop techniques which allows them to take blood from hands, feet and from challenging patients with small, mobile or difficult veins. The course is only open to candidates that have already successfully completed phlebotomy skills, understanding and applying training modules gained on the Basic Phlebotomy Course, and hold the appropriate AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group certificate.
It will be of greatest benefit to those who are already taking bloods and who need to further develop their skills. For example those wishing to further their career in phlebotomy, or those wishing to perfect their skills. The course is accredited by AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group certificate. and is the only course of its type that has the backing of a recognised educational awarding body.
The course, which has a duration of one day, will comprise a morning theoretical session followed by a practical session in the afternoon using our training arms and hands. In addition to attending the training course participants will be required to complete 3 pieces of written work.
