Meet The Team
Alison Purkiss (CertEd) - Managing Director, Phlebotomy Training Services
Alison gained her Certificate in Education in September 1995, and started her Phlebotomy career in September 2000. Alison has always had a passion for venepuncture and teaching. In July 2007, after seven years of studying the best practices of venepuncture and cannulation, Alison combined her two favourite things to create the first educationally accredited phlebotomy courses in the UK. Since then, PTS has trained over 2000 students, most of which Alison has trained herself.
Sue Zergi - Tutor, Phlebotomy Training Services
Sue is a phlebotomist of over 10 years, and joined PTS in July 2008 to help Alison meet the demand of her evergrowing business. Since then, Sue has become an integral part of the PTS family, and delivers courses all over the UK and Ireland.
As a key member of the National Association of Phlebotomists executive committee, Sue has a great knowledge of phlebotomy. Sue is currently working towards her Certificate in Education.
Julie White - Tutor, Phlebotomy Training Services
Julie has been a phlebotomist for two years now, and completed our basic phlebotomy training course in July 2009. Julie is a born natural, and takes blood regularly from patients as young as 6 months old, to very elderly patients.
Julie has just started working as a tutor for PTS, and is working towards her Certificate in Education.
Massimo Genovesi - Tutor, Phlebotomy Training Services
Massimo was one of the first students to complete our basic phlebotomy course in February 2008. Massimo was a born natural, and worked for PTS as a teaching assistant until May 2010.
Just over two years since taking our basic phlebotomy course, and now an extremely confident and competent phlebotomist, Massimo has started working as a tutor for PTS. Massimo is also working towards his Certificate in Education. If you enrol on to one of our phlebotomy courses in London, you are likely to see Massimo there!
Susan Stone - Assistant, Phlebotomy Training Services
Susan completed our basic phlebotomy course in March 2009, and was only the seventh student to pass with a mark of 100%. Susan started working as a phlebotomist shortly afterwards in July 2009, and she was so good, we asked her to come back and work for us as a teaching assistant.
Susan is an extremely talented phlebotomist, and is great at passing on her skills and knowledge. If you book on to one of our Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds courses, you are likely to see her there.
