About Us
Phlebotomy Training Services (PTS) was founded in July 2007 by Alison Purkiss (Cert Ed). Alison is a phlebotomist of over 10 years who has worked in hospitals and GP practices across the NHS. Alison is an expert in venepuncture and cannulation, and is also a trained teacher. Alison earned her Certificate in Education in September 1995.
We regularly hold training sessions that are open to members of the general public who want to learn phlebotomy or expand their existing skills. Venues include London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham York and Bristol. We also offer in-house training to the staff of hospitals, nursing homes and universities and colleges all over the country.
